Let me get straight to it – is Ukraine’s Zelensky a hero or a moron?
Maybe not a moron in the sense of being slow, but in the sense of a hypocritical, corrupt, and shameless bastard. And there’s one important clarification – a hero to whom, and a moron to whom?
Let’s sit back and think this through.
Would Ukraine have been better off without this war? The answer is a frustrating yes and no. A few thousand power players wouldn’t be making a killing (financially speaking), but 45 million people also wouldn’t be staring down the barrel of violent death. So, on the scales of history, it all balances out – because in this world, the voices of a few thousand rich always outweigh the cries of 45 million nobodies.
Now, let’s rewind.
What kind of lunatic managed to kill 15,000 people in Donbas (official numbers) without the so-called democratic, liberal global community even blinking and saying, ‘Hey, this is wrong’?
To make it even nastier – but clearer – let’s explore a comparison: Imagine, us, Americans, slaughtering 15,000 Mexicans in Baja California. Mexico spends eight years begging us to stop, but we don’t – because the ‘civilized world’ or ‘the rules based order’ stands behind us and keeps egging us on. Now tell me, what is the president who allows that to happen – a hero or an idiot?
Remember, Zelensky was elected on a promise to end that war. And what did he actually do? He escalated it. But let’s not pretend that’s shocking – after all, a lying politician is a global classic. Here’s another purely hypothetical example. If Mexicans decided to slaughter 15,000 Texans, and we wiped them off the map with our military (which, by the way, wouldn’t even be funny to watch), then the Mexican mastertool who ordered that – is he a national hero or a monumental idiot? And to whom would he be a hero, and to whom an idiot?
What I can’t figure out is this – why is Zelensky – after a string of catastrophic, avoidable, and strategically disastrous decisions that served neither justice, nor his country, nor his people – why the hell is he being turned into some kind of a Churchill 2.0 action figure?
The result of his choices is simple: mass death. Ukrainian death. Russian death. And the deaths of a handful of foreign mercenaries – brain-dead idiots who think they’re saving some imaginary democracy; TikTok war tourists playing Rambo on someone else’s soil.
If you think Zelensky is a hero, fine. You’re entitled to that opinion. Let’s just drop the fairy tale about him being the only thing standing between us and global Russian conquest.
And spare me from that ‘If not for Ukraine, Russia would’ve invaded Europe’ nonsense! Please.
Russia and China together have – wait for it! – 23 military bases outside their borders. The ‘rules-based international community’? Over 900. If you want to see who’s really running the global war machine, do the math. It’s not difficult, even for those who think ‘math is a tool of oppression.’
Now, let’s be clear: Russia is an empire. America is an empire. China? Empire. The only difference is that America can’t seem to stomach the idea that Russia is clawing back lost ground. Call it pathetic, call it tragic, call it terrifying – it’s still empire vs. empire. But here’s the real question: does any of this actually concern us, the ordinary people?
Frankly, it’s equally shitty to end up as cannon fodder for either side. What’s happening isn’t some football match, and we aren’t a cheering section screaming and waving random flags for Facebook likes. We, the people, are pawns – sooner or later, they’re going to shove us onto the battlefield.
To political leaders, we’re just future, present or past frontline troops. A handful of suicidal idiots stupid enough to fight in their place. If that’s your vibe – if you really feel like now’s the time to go fight for someone else’s agenda – knock yourself out. Grab a rifle. You know where to go. Just don’t bring the war back home.
One last thing – who’s paying for this war? Check your grocery bill. Go fill up your gas tank. Still don’t get who’s paying?
